How to Create a vCard QR Code

Step 1: Enter Your Contact Details

Step 2: Check the Information

You may come across QR codes using a different format called MeCard, which serves a similar purpose but is a simpler, more compact format that originated on older Japanese feature phones, with fewer standardized fields than vCard. Common vCard QR Code Problems

• No save prompt appears. The scanning device or its camera app may not recognize vCard data — try a different QR scanning app, or the device's built-in camera specifically.
• Some fields are missing from the saved contact. Confirm you actually filled those fields in before generating — blank fields aren't included in the code at all.
• The phone number looks wrong after saving. Only digits and a leading + are kept from what you typed — formatting like spaces or dashes is stripped, so the number itself should still be correct, just reformatted.
• A logo makes the code unreliable. Raise the error correction level or shrink the logo.
• Special characters in a company name look off. Punctuation like commas and semicolons in the company or title fields is handled correctly on QRivify's side — if something still looks wrong after saving, check how the specific contacts app you're testing with renders that field.
