Remove a blank page, an outdated cover sheet, or a few pages you don't need — select them and download the result, directly in your browser.

Need to remove a few pages from a PDF before sending it? You don't need a desktop PDF editor for a simple task like this — a blank scanned page, an old cover sheet, or a page that snuck in from another document can be removed in a few clicks.
Try it now: Delete PDF Pages → — select the pages you don't need and download the rest.
What Does "Delete PDF Pages" Actually Mean?
Deleting a page from a PDF removes it from the document entirely — the remaining pages are rebuilt into a new file without it, and every page after the deleted one shifts up to fill the gap. This is different from hiding a page or blanking it out; the page and everything on it is gone from the resulting file, not just hidden.
It's a common companion task to merging or splitting PDFs — you often end up with an extra page after combining files, or want to keep everything except one or two specific pages after a scan.
Why Would You Need to Delete PDF Pages?
A few real situations where this comes up:
- A blank page appeared during scanning — this happens constantly with automatic document feeders when a stack has slightly fewer pages than expected.
- An outdated cover page or table of contents needs to come out before you send an updated version.
- A duplicate page got scanned or merged in twice by mistake.
- You only need part of a longer document and it's easier to delete the pages you don't want than to extract the ones you do (though for that case, Split PDF can also work depending on how the pages are arranged).
- Sensitive pages — like an internal notes page or a signature page meant for internal use only — need to come out before sharing externally.
How to Delete PDF Pages Online
- Open the Delete PDF Pages tool.
- Drop your PDF onto the upload area, or click it to choose a file.
- Once it loads, you'll see a thumbnail for every page in the document.
- Click any page thumbnail to select it for deletion — a checkmark appears on selected pages. Click a selected page again to deselect it.
- Select as many pages as you need to remove, then click "Delete pages."
- Download the resulting PDF.
If you select every page in the document, the tool will stop you — a PDF can't be completely empty, so at least one page has to stay. If you want to clear your selection and start over, use the "Clear selection" link above the thumbnails rather than clicking through each page individually.
Using QR Ivify
QR Ivify's Delete PDF Pages tool processes your document entirely in your browser using pdf-lib — nothing is uploaded to a server. The pages you select and the pages you delete never leave your device; the new PDF is assembled locally and handed straight to you as a download.
This also means there's no file waiting on a server somewhere afterward — once you close the tab, nothing about your document persists anywhere on QR Ivify's side.

Tips
- Zoom in before deleting if a thumbnail looks ambiguous — it's much easier to double-check a page before removing it than to redo the process from your original file afterward.
- Delete in one pass — select every page you want gone first, then click "Delete pages" once, rather than deleting one page, downloading, re-uploading, and repeating.
- Keep your original file until you've confirmed the result looks right, especially for documents you can't easily regenerate (like a signed contract or a one-off scan).
- Check the resulting page count matches what you expected — if you meant to remove 2 pages from a 10-page document, confirm the download has exactly 8.
- Combine with reordering if pages are also out of sequence — see our guide to reordering PDF pages for that.
Common Problems
Why won't the tool let me delete every page? A PDF can't be empty — at least one page has to remain in the file. If you're trying to remove everything, you likely want a different starting document rather than an empty PDF.
Why did the wrong page get deleted? This is almost always a selection mistake rather than a tool issue — since pages are numbered and thumbnails are shown in order, double-check the page number under each thumbnail before clicking "Delete pages," especially in a long document where pages can look similar.
Why does my PDF still look the same after downloading? Confirm you're opening the newly downloaded file, not the original — some browsers save downloads with a similar filename, and it's easy to accidentally reopen the original by mistake.
Why can't I upload my PDF at all? If the file is password-protected or corrupted, the tool won't be able to read it and will show an error rather than a broken result. Removing the password first (if you know it) or re-exporting the file usually resolves this.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does deleting a page renumber the remaining pages? Yes — once a page is removed, every page after it shifts up by one position in the new file, the same way removing a physical page from a bound document would.
Can I select pages out of order, like page 5 and then page 2? Yes — selection order doesn't matter. You can click pages in any order; all selected pages are removed together when you click "Delete pages."
Will this affect bookmarks or a table of contents in my PDF? Page content is removed, but this tool doesn't rewrite internal bookmarks or an existing table of contents — if your PDF has navigation links pointing to a page you delete, those links may no longer point where expected.
Is there a limit on how many pages I can delete at once? No — you can select as many pages as you like in one pass, as long as at least one page remains in the final document.
Can I delete pages from a scanned PDF the same way? Yes — page deletion works the same regardless of whether pages contain real text or scanned images, since it's removing whole pages rather than editing their content.
Is there a file size limit? Yes, 40 MB, the same limit as QR Ivify's other PDF tools.
