Supported formats and limitations

- Every option is off by default — this tool never changes your text unless you explicitly turn something on.
- "Remove special characters" strips symbols (like @ # $ % ^) but leaves ordinary punctuation alone; use "Remove punctuation" separately if you also want periods, commas, and quotes gone.

"Special characters" targets symbols like @ # $ % ^ & *. "Punctuation" targets periods, commas, quotes, and similar marks. They're separate toggles so you can use either, both, or neither.
Yes — turn on "Convert tabs to spaces" and choose a tab width (2, 4, or 8 spaces).
Only if you turn on "Remove empty/blank lines" — like every other option here, it's not automatic.
